Terms of use

Draft: this is an interim summary while the full document is prepared. It is what sign-up currently asks people to accept.

These are the terms you accept when you create a Watt iQ account. The full document is being finalised with our lawyers; what follows is the plain-English summary that applies in the meantime, and the full terms will replace it here under the same version number scheme.

  • Watt iQ reads your battery system and electricity prices and, when you turn automation on, changes your battery's settings within the limits you set. You stay responsible for your system and your energy contract.
  • Readings, prices and forecasts come from third parties (your inverter maker, your retailer, weather services) and can be late, missing or wrong. Plans are estimates, not guarantees of savings.
  • Keep your sign-in details and the credentials you connect private. Tell us if you think your account has been used by someone else.
  • We may change or withdraw features, and you may close your account, at any time. Closing it removes your credentials and stops all control of your system.
  • Australian Consumer Law applies and nothing here limits rights it gives you.
